Acceptable Use Policy

AI creators are allowed on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube as long as people can tell they’re AI and the selling is honest. These rules keep your accounts, our payment account and the people who watch your creators safe.

They apply to everything made or published with Velvet Engine: personas, videos, captions, comments, DMs, store products, AI twins and films. They’re part of our Terms of Service.

• Keep the AI disclosure in every persona’s bio, and leave each platform’s AI-content setting on.
• Don’t repost a persona’s videos anywhere without saying they’re AI-generated.
• Don’t present a persona as a real human, and don’t have it deny being AI.
• Automated DMs say in the first message that they come from an AI character. Leave that in.
• Films from the Movies studio end with an AI end card and carry a “Made with AI” tag. Keep both.

• Personas are original, fictional characters. Don’t make one that is, or is meant to look or sound like, a real person: a celebrity, public figure, creator or private individual.
• Don’t use a real person’s name, face or voice to suggest they’re involved, and don’t pose as a brand or organization you don’t represent.
• Don’t let a persona claim professional credentials, such as doctor, dietitian or financial adviser.
• The one exception for a real person is your own AI twin.

• You can make an AI twin of yourself, and no one else. Never upload photos or recordings of another person, even with their permission; they can make their own twin from their own account.
• You must be 18 or older, and the photos and recordings must show only you.
• Don’t use your twin to mislead people about what you really said or did.
• Everything made with a twin is labeled as AI, like every persona.

• Follow the terms and community guidelines of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, including their rules for AI-generated and branded content.
• No fake engagement: no bought followers, views, likes or comments, and no networks of personas posing as unrelated real people to boost each other.
• No spam. Send product DMs only to people who asked, for example by commenting a keyword.
• Don’t try to get around a platform’s limits, restrictions or bans.

• Posts that sell or promote something must say so at the start of the caption, for example with #ad, and use the platform’s paid-partnership or branded-content setting.
• If a persona states a claim out loud, the disclosure must be spoken too.
• No first-person experience claims. An AI persona can’t say it used, tried or got results from a product, and there are no before-and-after results. It can present and teach.
• No fake reviews, testimonials, ratings or invented customers.
• Follow the advertising and endorsement rules where your audience lives, such as the FTC’s rules in the United States.

• Health: no claims that anything treats, cures or prevents a condition, no weight-loss numbers and no supplements.
• Money: no promised earnings, income or investment returns, no get-rich-quick offers and no personal investment advice.
• No scams, phishing, fake giveaways or misleading offers.
• No false or misleading claims presented as fact, including about elections, public health or emergencies, and no fabricated news or evidence.
• No hate, harassment, threats or bullying, and nothing that promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or eating disorders.
• No sexually explicit content or nudity.
• Nothing illegal, and nothing that sells or promotes illegal or dangerous goods or services, such as drugs, weapons or counterfeits.
• Nothing that infringes copyright, trademarks or anyone else’s rights, and no private information about other people.

• You must be 18 or older to use Velvet Engine.
• Personas must be adults and must not look like children.
• Never create, request or share sexual or sexualized content involving minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as the law requires.
• Don’t aim personas, products or ads at children.
• Only adults can make an AI twin, and only of themselves.

Products in an AI creator’s store are sold by Velvet Engine, so every product must meet our rules and Stripe’s:

• Educational digital products only, such as guides, workbooks, planners, checklists and template packs.
• Nothing on Stripe’s list of restricted businesses.
• No health or earnings claims and no testimonials. Every product carries an educational disclaimer.
• Only material you have the rights to.

Every idea and product goes through the compliance gate before it can get a checkout link, and we can take any product off sale.

• Use a persona’s email address only to sign up for and run that persona’s own accounts, never for spam or unrelated sign-ups.
• Keep saved passwords inside your workspace.
• Put the tracking script only on sites you control, and get the consent your visitors’ privacy laws require.
• Don’t try to get around credits, spending limits or security, access other workspaces, or overload, probe or reverse engineer the service.

• The compliance gate checks every script, caption, product and DM before it’s used. It passes it, flags it for you to check, or blocks it.
• We may remove content, take products off sale, revoke a likeness, pause autopilot or suspend a workspace. Serious or repeated breaches can end your account.
• We may report illegal content to the authorities and work with the platforms and law enforcement.

If a persona impersonates you, uses your likeness without consent or breaks these rules, contact us with a link to the account or post, and we’ll look into it.
